- Surya Namaskar-

To attain the pose, all you need to do is stand straight with knees together, and hands bent in the basic prayer pose. Then slowly raise your hands above with your head facing the sky. You’ll feel some stretch during the process. Then slowly come downwards and try touching your hands on the floor.
While it focuses on working out the complete body, it is one of the best yoga poses for tummy reduction.
Try the pose with 2-3 repetitions initially and then eventually increase the duration of the stretch time.
- Warrior pose-
Another one from the bunch of yoga poses for tummy reduction and the thighs is warrior pose. It works on the abdomen muscle and organs and also helps in enhancing stamina and concentration.
To attain the pose, you need to stand with your legs placed away from each other. Now move your right foot to the right side and bend your right knee so that your right thigh is parallel to the floor. Start your hands to two sides keeping them parallel to the floor and look to your right.
Repeat the same pose with another leg. Also try the pose with 2-3 reps, holding the position for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then return to the same position.
- Boat pose-
The perfect power packed workout for abs toning is this pose. It is one of the yoga poses for tummy reduction which also helps in increasing your lower and upper body strength.
To attain the pose, sit down on a mat while stretching your legs. With knees pulled out, thighs tight enough, the toes should be pointing out. Now eventually raise your feet off the ground at a 45 degree angle. Also raise your arms to the shoulder level and inhale while you uplift your arms and legs making a V shape.
The point to remember here is that your spine and legs should be straight and not bent during the exercise.
Try holding the position for 30 seconds to 1 minute and then eventually increase the duration once you get a hang of it. Also try doing 2-3 reps of the same daily.
- Bridge pose-
Another effective exercise to cut down belly fat is this bridge pose. It also helps to tone the arms and leg muscles, helps in digestion and brings relief in the neck pain.
To attain the pose, lie down on the back with your feet joined and your hands by both sides. Now lift your chest and head off the ground and stretch your hands towards your feet.
Try holding the position for 30 seconds to 1 minute and increase eventually. Also try doing 2-3 reps of the exercise daily.
You will feel the stretch and tension in your abdominal muscle and navel but that’s how you increase your muscle strength.
- Camel pose-
Also called Ustrasana, it is one of the multi purpose yoga poses for tummy reduction as it targets the 3 mail body parts with fat deposition ie the tummy, thighs and the back.
To attain the position, bend down on your knees with your hands backwards on the hips. Not try stretching your torso with your hands holding the heels. Bend backward with your chest and tummy out.
Try holding the position for 3-seconds to 1 minute and 2-3 reps initially and then gradually increasing the count.
